Henry Pillsbury, ‘How can someone be Romanian? Notes of an American Tourist, 1971'.
The viewpoint section is dedicated to Henry Pillsbury's account of his travels in Romania in 1971. A graduate of Yale with further studies at the universities of Paris and California (Berkeley), Henry Pillsbury has lived in Paris since 1965. His meeting in 1968 with Mircea Ţoca, an art historian form Cluj has kindled his interest to visit Romania. The account is based on letters Henry Pillsbury wrote to his relatives in America.
