Keith Hitchins. Portrait of the Historian
The article attempts to draw a portrait of the American historian Keith Hitchins as suggested by his research and publications, particularly focused on Romanian topics. In the first part, the author presents the professional training and the academic career of this historian, his main research interests, his dominant area of expertise, the most important works published as well as the periodicals he has contributed to. The essay also deals with the development of the historian's interest in Romanian history. Consequently, his main contributions to the study of Romanian subjects are outlined highlighting the constant dialogue with Romanian historiography.
