In order for accepted participants to present their work we kindly invite them to register to the conference. Full settlement of the conference fee (by bank transfer or credit card), according to the registration category (see below), is required in order for the registration to be confirmed. The registration process starts at April 1st and will end in June 30th, 2014.

You have to fill in the on line Registration form and then to pay the conference fee by credit card.

In order for us to have all information about your options which are not included in the online registration form, you are kindly requested to also fill in the off line Registration Form, providing carefully all requested information, and send it as an e-mail attachment to the Conference Secretariat: esa.arts2014[at]

Off line registration
For participants who don’t wish to submit their registration and payment on line, an alternative way for registration is available here. Thank you for sending us by email, along with the off line Registration Form, a copy of your bank transfer receipt identified with your name and the reference: 8-ESA-ARTS-2014.
* In case You cannot save directly ("Save as .pdf") a full copy of the Registration form, you have to click "Sign" to fill out and sign this form; then use the button "Place Signature" to insert it at the end of the document in the [Name] field; when you are done, click "Signed. Proceed to Send" and then click "Save a copy".

Online booking of the hotel rooms

The conference is organized on a non-profit base. “Babes-Bolyai” University will generously support the conference. However, in order to cover all expenditure, there will be a conference fee to pay during the registration process. The conference fee includes:
  • Access to Sessions & Welcome Reception
  • Programme and Abstract Book
  • Name Badge
  • Lunch and Coffee break

There will be discounts for all students and PhD graduates, free-lance artists, and ESA-members. The proofs of status or affiliation should be presented during the Registration process. Active participants (that is participants with an oral presentation at a session or workshop) will have the option to register their co-authors (max. 2 persons) or their personal companion for the low fee (€100).

Reduced fees:
  • €100 for all students and PhD graduates who finished their studies in 2013 and are still not employed
  • €100 for all free-lance artists
  • €150 for all participants who are members of the European Sociological Association (ESA)
  • €150 for all participants from countries with a low gross national income (bands B and C in
Full fees: Non-active participants (audience) could also register on-site with the same fees of respective categories.

Participation in the Conference dinner is optional and a fee of 30€ apply, to be settled during registration.

Payment & Cancellation Policy
  • Full settlement of the registration fee is required in order for the registration to be confirmed.
  • Cancellations should be made in writing to the Conference Secretariat.
  • For any cancellation submitted till 15/06/2014, full refund will apply except from a processing fee of 20€. Bank charges to be deducted from the refunded amount.
  • For any cancellation submitted from 15/06/2014 till 15/07/2013, 50% refund is applicable. Bank charges to be deducted from the refunded amount.
  • After 15/07/2014 no refund will be possible.
  • All refunds will be made after the Conference.
