Evelina Miteva is the principal investigator of the project “Melancholy in Medieval Europe (1100-1400). Depression, Creativity, and Philosophy of Nature” (PN-III-P1-1.1-TE-2019-1080). Evelina Miteva holds two PhD titles in philosophy (Sofia 2012, and Bari/Cologne 2014) and is a Feodor-Lynen Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. She is a specialist on the 13th century author Albert the Great. She currently works on various topics of natural philosophy regarding the human nature, such as melancholy, embryology, natural determinism, as well as their ethical and epistemological implications.
