Professional Career:

1981-1987 - Professor of History at School No. 14 Satu Mare

1987 - he was appointed headmaster assistant for School no. 14, Satu Mare

 1990, January - was elected headmaster in same school

1990 - started his doctoral research Transilvania de la criza conştiinţei europene la revoluţia franceză. Societate rurală şi mentalităţi colective, [Transylvania from crises of european consciousness to french revolution. Rural Society and Colective Mentalities]
supervisor: dr. Pompiliu TEODOR.

1993 - specialization at Free University of Bruxelles, Belgia

1994 - specialization at Nottingham University, United Kingdom

1995 - started his doctoral program at INALCO, Paris, France, with dr. Catherine DURANDIN

1997, June 30 -  he sustain his doctoral thesis and became Doctor in History at “Babeş-Bolyai” University, Cluj-Napoca

1997, November 8th - he sustain thesis La Transylvanie à l’époque moderne (1680-1800). Société rurale et mentalités collectives at INALCO, Paris and he obtined PhD title in History with mention “ trés honorable avec felicitations” 

1998, March 1st - he become lecturer at  Modern History Chair,  Faculty of History,  "Babeş-Bolyai" University

2000, January 20th - Toader Nicoară  was elected Dean of the Faculty of  History, "Babeş-Bolyai" University

2003, June 4thhe become  Professor in the same University

2004, February 3rd - he was reelected Dean of the Faculty of History.

He is the author of 7 books and editor or tranlator for some other books. Author of some manuals and sintesis. He also published most studies and articles  in colective volumes, special reviews  or in cultural review.
