1997, November 8^th - he sustain thesis La Transylvanie à l’époque moderne (1680-1800). Société rurale et mentalités collectives at INALCO, Paris and he obtined PhD title in History with mention “ trés honorable avec felicitations”

1998, March 1^st - he become lecturer at Modern History Chair, Faculty of History, "Babeş-Bolyai" University

2000, January 20^th - Toader Nicoară was elected Dean of the Faculty of History, "Babeş-Bolyai" University

2003, June 4^th – he become Professor in the same University

2004, February 3^rd - he was reelected Dean of the Faculty of History.
