1. Andrei Bereschi, LA THEORIE DES FORMES POLITIQUES DANS L’ANTIQUITÉ GRECQUE (PLATON, ARISTOTE ET POLYBE) în Studia Universitatis Babes-Bolyai, Philosophia, liv, 1, 2009, p. 3-24

ABSTRACT. The Theory of Governmental Forms in Greek Antiquity (Plato, Aristotle and Polybe). This paper is an account on the configuration of the philosophy of history in Antiquity. It concerns the different concepts of history as images of the theory of governmental forms. According to Plato the political time is mainly shaped following the soul’s nature, and, according to Aristotle, following the social conflicts; the intellectual sources of the two philosophers were exploited by Polybe in his ambitious attempt to explain through a philosophical theory of history the success of Rome: making of the entire world a unique history through the military conquests which joined cultures and geographies.

Keywords: political forms, Polybe, Aristotle, Plato, soul, political philosophy

2. Alexander Baumgarten, SICUT SPECULUM ANIMATUM. DE L’IMAGINATION ARISTOTELICIENNE A L’INTENTIONNALISME D’ALBERT LE GRAND în Studia Universitatis Babes-Bolyai, Philosophia, liv, 1, 2009, p. 25-38

ABSTRACT. Sicut speculum animatum. From Aristles’ Concept of Imagiantion to Alvert the Great’s Intentionalism. My paper approaches Aristotle’s concept of imagination considering its various meanings as possible sources for the contemporary phenomenology. It argues that the phenomenological interpretation of imagination in terms of intentionality could be referred back to Avicenna, Albert the Great and Thomas Aquinas, due to their understandig of imagination as part of an entirely receptive subjectivity.

Keywords: imagination, intentionality, phaenomenology, mediaeval philosophy, Aristotle.

3. Laura Ilinescu, LE FONDEMENT DE LA REPRESENTATION POLITIQUE DANS LE LEVIATHAN DE THOMAS HOBBES în Studia Universitatis Babes-Bolyai, Philosophia, liv, 1, 2009, p. 61-82

ABSTRACT. The Grounds of the Political representation in Thomas Hobbes’Leviathan. My paper focuses on the concept of political representation in Th. Hobbes’ Leviathan. It tackles the question of a supposed link between the philosophy of nature and the political philosophy made through the various epistemological meanings of representation. The final thesis advances that the theoretical structure of Leviathan was conceived as based on the political representation with a meaning that can be traced back to that of mental representation.

Keywords: Hobbes, Leviathan, politics, representation, natural philosophy.
